Thursday 17th December- bike ***** - Two rivers including lunch at Falkenham Church – sunny.

After a couple of mega windsurf foiling sessions the wind drops light today but the mild weather continues with wall to wall sunshine today:) So after my exercises Mag and I decide to take a chance with our bikes, it has been wet recently with a lot of our favourite paths very muddy. We made a flask of yummy homemade soup leaving home at midday we headed down to a very crowded Felixstowe prom taking it slowly to The Fludgers before turning inland to Marsh Lane. The farm gate was sadly closed and we had to lift our muddy bikes over it! Then past Kingfleet to our favourite seat by ‘Emily’ at Falkenham Church, hardly seeing anyone once we got out into the countryside:) We had a relaxing time in the mild sunshine with great views before setting off to Kirton along the lanes. Across the busy A 14 to Trimley, down Grimston Lane avoiding the tree lined path which is very muddy. We make it to Felixstowe dock where Mag heads for home while I continue to the Dock view point by the River Orwell. Then back through Landguard reserve with the sun setting. Then home for a cuppa with some of Mags Christmas cake offcuts, very nice too:) The next couple of days are looking very mild with a good breeze forecast, might even be able to get out on my fin gear for a change:)
